Discovery Day

2 October 2009

Discovery Day is one of the real highlights of the Roedean calendar. In 2009, we are returning to one of the most popular themes ever – Murder Mystery. Will you be able to solve the case of ‘Horror at Hemlock Hall’?

The programme

You will start the day watching a short play to set the scene and introduce the characters. Keep an eye out for potential suspects so you can start weighing up their possible motives. Then it is time to visit the crime scene to inspect the body and pick up any clues there.

The next stop is the crime labs. Through blood, footprint and flame analysis you’ll gather enough forensic evidence to decide on the murderer’s identity. You will then turn crime reporter to create a newspaper front page to break the exclusive story.

Finally, it is time to present your theory – including the name of the murderer - to your fellow detectives and watch the second half of the play. Was your theory correct?

More details

Details of the confirmed programme and timings will be published here on Wednesday 9 September. If you have any questions in the meantime, please email events@roedean.co.uk
