Gatwick is the closest airport to Roedean. You can then take the train (frequent trains, taking approximately 30 minutes) or drive to Brighton.
Heathrow is approximately an hour and a quarter’s drive, depending on the traffic.
There are frequent trains from London. The train from Victoria takes between 50 minutes and an hour and a quarter. A slightly slower train leaves from London Bridge.
Other direct trains run along the coast, to Southampton, Portsmouth and Eastbourne, or north through London to Luton.
You can also take the Eurostar to Ashford and connect there with a direct train to Brighton (approximately an hour and a half).
Roedean is approximately 15 minutes from the station by taxi. A good local taxi service is Streamline Taxis, 01273 747474 or 01273 202020.
The ferry from Dieppe to Newhaven takes four hours. Roedean is 20 minutes from Newhaven by taxi.
If you are using sat nav, the senior school's postcode (BN2 5RQ) will send you to a gate which has actually been closed to traffic since the 1960s.
Please use the postcode BN2 5RJ instead. Drive to the very end of the Roedean Way to the electric gate ahead of you.
