Academic excellence underpins everything we do at Roedean.
At Roedean, energetic and committed teachers stretch our most able girls and nurture those needing an extra boost, so that everyone achieves the very best they can.
Our connections with the City of Brighton and Hove are designed with the girls in mind too; we have strengthened our links with the Universities of Brighton and Sussex, Brighton and Sussex Medical School and local businesses. For example, our top sixth form mathematicians attend the University of Sussex’s first year geometry lectures.
Our students with specific educational needs can tailor-make their timetable to focus on the academic essentials.
When added to small classes and specialist teachers, it is no surprise Roedean is in the top 5% of schools nationally for value added at Key Stage 5 (sixth form), the only school in Brighton and Hove to achieve this*.
