The ORA
The Old Roedeanians’ Association (the ORA) was formed in 1900 with the following key aims:
- To keep alive the spirit imbued by the Founders of the School.
- To provide a link between Old Roedeanians, the School and each other, and to sustain interest in the School and in the Old Roedeanians’ Association.
- To provide support and assistance to the School
The Association is managed by a voluntary Committee.
There is also a branch of the ORA established in the USA and, shortly, in Hong Kong. Roedean South Africa has its own SAORA.
Less commonly known is that there is also a Roedean Old Boys' Association (ROBA) comprised of members of the Royal Navy, stationed here at HMS Vernon during the Second World War.
The ORA is a member of the Association of Representatives of Old Pupils’ Societies (AROPS) www.arops.org.uk
