In the second half of Year 9, the girls consider which GCSE/IGCSE subjects they will take in Year 10. They are guided in these decisions by their tutors. We send parents detailed information about the GCSE/IGCSE programmes, so that they can provide additional insight and help their daughters in the selection process.
Our core curriculum includes English, English Literature, Geography or History, Mathematics (the IGCSE syllabus), a choice of double or triple Sciences and a Modern Foreign Language.
We also offer the following choices:
As a girls school GCSE choices are balanced by the ECDL computing course and Religious Studies GCSE. We also encourage the girls to indulge their creative side with lessons in dance, drama, music and individual sports.
A copy of the Fifth Form Curriculum 2009 - 2010 is available to download, as is a copy of the independant school GCSE Choices Form. You can also learn more about the learning experience for girls in Years 9, 10 and 11 by requesting a prospectus.
