U16 Netball Squad Winners

Roedean continued to fly the flag in the world of Netball at the weekend. The U16 Netball Squad, who are made up of girls from Lower Five and Upper Five, were selected to attend a Netball Team Building event, in preparation for The Sussex Round of The National Schools Tournament later this term.

The weekend of September 17 and 18 was spent at Condover Hall in Shropshire, along with 50 other good netball teams from all over the country.  Not only was the focus on bonding as a team with adventurous and often terrifying activities, but the girls also played 10 matches in a Netball Tournament.  They played a variety of positions testing out different combinations on the court.

Congratulations are in order, as the girls won their section after 5 matches, then went through to the 'play offs', the semi finals and final.  The final result - our U16 Team were worthy winners of the whole tournament!  Well done to Grace Swann (Captain) , Francesca Amewuda- Rivers, Phoebe Tomlinson, Ella Miele, Ivy Robin,  Jemima Scott, Saffron Amis, Sabrena Lee,  Jess Jasper and Saskia Westgate.
