RJS 'Little Shepherd' production

Over 200 parents and visitors from the Kemp Town community were charmed by the pupils at Roedean Junior School in their Christmas production of ‘Shepherd Little’.

The play focussed on the traditional nativity story, with a twist – the Angel Gabriel appeared to the shepherds to announce the Good News, but the villagers wouldn’t believe them until eventually they made the journey to see Jesus in Bethlehem and presented their gifts.

All the nursery to Year 2 boys and girls took part in the play.  Most of them had a speaking role as well as singing, dancing and playing instruments from recorders to violins in the small band.

Headmaster Mr May, said: “I am very proud of all these talented pupils.  They gave a fantastic performance - even at this age they put in so much effort to ensure they give a professional Christmas production which we could all enjoy.”
