Over 70 young forensic scientists from over 30 schools descended on Hemlock Hall/Roedean School today to attempt to solve the mystery of the murder of socialite Honey Crisp.
Miss Crisp, 49, was found with severe head wounds this morning in the Hemlock Hall library. The scientists took plaster casts of footprints found near the murder scene, analysed the blood found under Miss Crisp's fingernails, examined fingerprints on the possible murder weapon.
It was a long day for our trainee detectives/forensic scientists/crime reporters, but everyone will have gone home with lots of stories. In fact, we know of at least one participant who just didn't want to leave at the end...
We are already thinking about next year's Discovery Day, but in the meantime, see all the pictures from the day on Flickr.com or for a recap of how the day unfolded, search RoedeanSchool on Twitter.com
