Roedean’s individual approach to education perhaps offers the most to young boys and girls taking their first steps into education. All children are different, learn at different paces and have different interests. However, they all need to be nurtured, guided and stimulated – these are the principles which underpin education in Junior School.

Recent research has indicated that children perform much better when they do not have to change environments from one key stage to the next. At Roedean Junior School, progression is seamless from Nursery to Year 6 (Transition).

The friendly co-educational school is located in the heart of quirky Kemp Town, among the hustle and bustle of cosmopolitan Brighton. The school day begins at 8.30am and ends at 4pm (before and after school care is available). Junior school children are offered seats in the Sussex minibus services.
